Stumbled across the Coleman Celsius Duo 3 online last night...
I really love the sound of this tent - would be perfect for my out of season camping where I can take a reasonable amount of kit, but I can't find anyone selling it! Anyone know why this model seems to be so scarce?
Cheers

I don't think it's made any more. I have a Coleman Avior X2 which is a brilliant tent, and they do other domes types similar to the Celsius, such as the Phact X3 and Phad X3. Might be worth looking at them.
Yes, I have the Avior X3 - it's a great little tent, with the empasis on little - I'll use that for short adventurous trips.. I really liked the Celsius Duo 3 for the massive living area you get and the weight/packsize was great considering.
How about the Coleman Tauri X3 or X4 - they look like great tents and dead quick to set up too. Seems to be a pretty good amount of space and headroom too, especially in the X4. Linky http://www.coleman.eu/uk/p-25820-tauri-x4.aspx
I think the Celsius might have been replaced with the Rock Spring (see same web site under the classic family tents heading). Looks a bit heavy though at 6kg, and it's got fibreglass poles instead of alloy.

Nice tents, but neither of which has the extended (and sheltered) living space that I was after - however, that got me looking, I rather like the look of the Coleman Pictor 3 tent now, nice living area and dual access (front and back).
I've seen a Pictor pitched and had a nose inside (with the owner's permission of course). I agree, it has a good amount of space, and it's a brilliant tent.
Are you still interested in the Coleman Celsius Duo 3? I have one which is in excellent condition (has only been put up on the lawn once) which I'd be willing to sell. Fell in love with it when I saw it but we've found it's surplus to requirements as in practice we use either our much smaller pop-up tent for single nights or our much bigger tent for longer stays. As I'm unemployed we can't really justify hanging on to the Celsius, which is in between. Have you seen the reviews on this website? Happy to put the tent up on the lawn again for anyone to inspect before purchase. I'm in Shropshire.
