We have struggled for some time to find a retailer who has this canopy in stock and at a reasonable price. I am a little worried that if we get it now then next year Outwell will bring out a front awning which would be ideal for this tent. Anyway, last week while we were away at Plassey Leisure Park in wrexham I spotted an Oakland with what I'm sure was the side canopy fitted to the front. Has anyone else seen this and I am really interested to see how much adjustment it requires to get a reasonable fit. After all the side canopy is half the price of the front canopy and its not much smaller in length.

I've got both side and front ones...I use both if going for longer than weekend... The side one in my opinion wouldn't work well on the front. We got the front extension in may this year from go outdoors but know it is available from other places online still if you type the info into google if will give you a link...It cost about £165. Hope it helps

While not much smaller in length it's a lot smaller in width in fact almost a whole meter this will be noticeable, maybe it was a different extension, I see no reason why a salinas front won't fit if it's an awning your after, will be doubtfull that outwell will make an awning for the Oakland as I believe a lot of the tents are redesigned new ones.
