After reading the instructions with my tent which are universal for the SIG and standard I'm confused as to what to do with the mudguard
Instructions say to tuck it under the tent once all is pegged down BUT there are holes through the mudguard for pegging down which indicates it stays out as it would be impossible to tuck them under once pegged out. I left them out on the test pitch but will need to do it properly at the end of October when we will be sleeping in it.

Im just searching for vids for you, not having much look so far !!

I would think you would peg it all at the same time. So tuck under and peg.

I didn't think that SIG versions had mud flaps as such. There should be perhaps short straps on the lower outside edge that you peg down, but nothing that pegs down under the inside edge. This would only be on the seperate ground sheet version
Obviously I don't know which make of tent you have so I could be wrong.

I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.
its a 4m 'mycooltent' and the only way it would ever be 4m is if the 20 cm mud guards were included in the size! I did think it strange that it had mud guards as it has a SIG (the Atlantis 5 doesn't have any) and think maybe its a manufacturing flaw, can't complain for what I paid I guess
I just had a look at their site, and also read the insructions. Very strange. It's not possible from the pictures, to see any mud flaps, so are they just sewn on the outside edge of the sig??? Can't see the point in having them either. Having read the instructions, they refer to the non sig version, and as so make sence. You would not have to zip up the doors on a sig version. There must be others out there with one.
