Looking to get a few weekends in before the end of December. The possibility of striking a wet tent is quite high from now onwards(unfortunately!) - I wonder if a fairly loose roll of tent, in a room with a quality dehumidifier would dry "properly" - the tent could be unrolled a certain amount, but not fully opened. This would be in a spare bedroom.
The dehumidifier is a quality unit.
Anyone else use a similar method? Any problems with my idea?
Thanks all.

I would have thought this would be OK if you keep moving the tent about and unrolling different bits of it each morning and evening. We do this in our living room - put a sheet of plastic over the sofa, move the sofa to the middle of the room and leave the tent over it overnight and all day whilst we're at work.
Yes, as far as I know some people dry their tent in a bath, turning it over frequently. I also dry mine in the livingroom, we have to move a bit of it if we want to sit down and watch the telly for a while!
I usually have a wet tent to dry out on every occasion, whatever the time of year.
I have used the bath for a wet tent several times, then once the surface water has drained left it to dry in a spare room or hung it over the banister.

maybe you could attach a few hooks to your wall at different points just so you can elevate the tent at points and actuall gain a little more room to fold out. Even two hooks along the longest wall might help though watch what you are dripping on to and also consider the paint on the wall. (don't do if the wall is wallpapered) You will need a wipeable paint just in case.
