Hello Im torn!!... I was up till 2am last night oohing and rrring over the Eldorado and the Touareg..Im after a canvas tent for when I take my little ones camping on my own.. Can you fit 3 single air beds in the inner or a double and a single??
Is the living area roomy enough for table and chairs etc for when its raining and cold..... so many lovely reviews on the Eldorado.. I LOVE the Touareg, only it doesnt have a inner room, which I need to lock the kids up at bed time or they wont sleep until Im in bed.. Im having a bit of cash for crimbles and I HAVE to spend it on a shiny new tent    I cant quite manage putting our 5m bell up on my own coz Im a weed and can only just drag the tent out of the car boot.. Sorry its a long one, would be grateful for any advice.. cheers Rachelle

You can now get an inner for the Touareg.  It is big enough for the kids with space for clothes and stuff, and you could sleep in the living area as it's a sewn in groundsheet.  I can put the Touareg up myself quite easily, but it is still heavy, once I have managed to lift it out of the car it is so easy to handle.  I use low tables and seating in the living space, we have used it all this year in all sorts of weathers and had plenty of room.  I am in the middle of writing a review but there are photos on the tent review section for now.

You can see the inner to one side.  You could put an inner in a both sides, but that would only leave a narrow corridor of living space.

You can only really fit two singles or a double in the inner, though you could put a childs ready-bed across the top, as it runs the full width of the tent (3m).  With 2 singles in, there is only a gap of about 25cm at the side of them, but lots of space at the end.

Yes, it's the inner from Bell tent.  We used the Touareg without inner for quite a while, but decided to get one for the Grandkids, then Katy and I sleep on the sofa bed in the living area, then fold it up during the day.

Hi Rachelle,

although I'm terribly biased on the Eldorados there are other alternative pyramids to give more room. Hypercamp, Cabanon, ESVO etc all have offerings that may suit your purpose, however bigger tent usually equals heavier tent. Your 5 meter bell may be heavy but with a little care, forethought and practice might still work for you. Bells are generally a little quicker to erect and you could save a pot of money to buy yourself something nice

cheers, John

give it another go! it's easy honest!

Only peg the groundsheet not the loops before you put the pole in

Loads easier then as less tension (and the pole will stay up while you peg the loops and guys)

I can't see any inners on bell tent though - do you know if they have stopped selling them?

(oh and if you are still longing for a touareg Obelink doesn't actually stop you from ordering one!)
