I've been checking out the specs for the 2012 Nevada M, and can't seem to spot any difference between that and the 2011 model, yet some of the shops are charging up to £420 for the 2012 pre-order when the 2011 can be had new from around £180. Am I missing something here?
Cheers

No your not. Even if there were a few changes would they be worth the extra, i think not. Most sensible people would buy the 2011 when they had the chance IMHO.
The price difference is probably down to increases in manufacturing costs (and what Outwell thinks the market will wear - which they have got majorly wrong IOHO for 2012) and the fact that retailers are currently discounting 2011 stock to make room for 2012 stock on their shelves. If you have set your heart on that particular tent, I'd go for the option that keeps a few quid in the pocket...
------------- Love our set-up and need no more tents or gear, so trying to stop looking!
Thankfully I bought a new Nevada M during the summer this year at a heavily discounted price, but was just interested to see what upgrades, if any, the '2012' model had. Glad I got mine this summer then!

It now seems normal for any camping equipment to be offered at a high price for a short while before being discounted to 'sale' price. It is in fact a legal requirement that the item must be offered at 'full' price for a period before discounted to 'sale' price.
It now appears normal practice for the large camping retailers to have permanent sales so one can conclude that the value of a given item is in fact the 'sale' price & not the 'full' price. So one can conclude that there are no bargains, only ripoffs.
