Hi all.

I'm looking for a tent for out of season camping. Looking for double skinned or canvas but would like some suggestions from the experienced people out there. Needs to be 6-8 berth as there are 2 adults, 2 kids and 3 dogs. I currently own a coleman coastline deluxe 8 but it suffers with condensation in summer time so I get the feeling it would be dripping constantly in winter. Oh and to make it awkward I don't want to spend thousands lol. So suggestions please.

All suggestions greatly received. Thank you. I have been looking at the outwell stuff and quite fancy a bell tent but the reproofing every 30 days or whatever it is put me off canvas to be honest. Bit lazy lol. I'll better get on with some research then

Where did you get that info from? I have never heard of reproofing every 30 days and I have ..................... ahem .................. a few canvas tebts, none of which have ever been reproofed?????????

I'd agree canvas is the way to go - but you ned to factor in the extra weight, space in your vehicle and drying - if you have space to roughly pitch at home then no problem (having said that, any tent needs thorough drying). You can get some great bargains from Ebay/Preloved at this time of year - if you want more info re buying second hand, start a thread - loads of us have bought second hand canvas tents from Ebay and know the questions to ask/what to look out for.
