Hey, has anybody seen these tents? I think they look amazing!! Really like the look of both the L and XL versions...

http://www.outwell.com/en/Products/Tents/Discovery/WisconsinL.aspx

http://www.outwell.com/en/Products/Tents/Discovery/WisconsinXL.aspx

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/tents/search.asp?n=Wisco&searchname=Search+by+name

Just wondered if anybody knows anything about the double skin thing? Online it says it's for better insulation and less condensation, so really the whole tent is like a giant bedroom pod?

Really love the colour too, I had finally narrowed my weekend tent options down to the Nevada M or Calisto 600..... this has thrown a spanner in the works!

I just looked at the first vid.

Outwell guy always goes into the tents to show you the headheight, he didn't on this one, and you could see from the end of the video he wouldn't actually be able to stand up properly in it.

Just something to consider if you wanted to be able to stand comfortably!

Hiya thanks, I had noticed :) It would only be our weekend tent, and judging by the dimensions i would be fine - not too sure about my other half though, but we don't spend much time in the tent anyway. Think its good though because he looks really tall - would be a bit of a con if they had a 5'5 man showing how roomy they are

Would rather have the bigger one though lol xx

Yeah that design is not my cup of tea, doesnt look as nice as the Nevada M.

Agree with Lauren, reckon you would be banging your head half the time.

All down to personal taste though.

Tent dilemmas are horrible.

I'm torn between the Lanai Reef and the Nevada M as a weekender.

As my "week'er" is a Bear Lake, I'm not sure I can forego the polycotton.....!!

I think he says he's 1.95m in one of the Robins videos.

Omg i couldn't afford the Lanai reef, but i love it - and if money was no option then i would have bought one as soon as they came out! Well maybe the Maui

What about the bigger vis'a'vis style one, i just wanted to know if anyone knows anything about the whole double skin thing??

I think i'm just going to get the Nevada M.... Can always add to it with a canopy or awning.... But ym reason for getting a weekender, is so we can chuck it in the boot and go - no trailer or roof box, no table, or camp kitchen just bare minimum - so pack size is very important xx

We had a double skin for our first tent, eurohike Hampton it was.
We had to put up the inside first as this is where the poles went, and then throw the flysheet over the top and tie it onto the poles. We hated putting it up, also, you could never get it to line up properly.
The Windows were small as well so felt enclosed.
Got a maui reef now......love it. I would never have a double skin again.
Oh, also if its raining, the inside gets wet cos the flysheet goes on last and comes off first so you expose the inside.

Oh wow i wouldn't have fancied doing that! No i think it's nice the way the poles are hidden through the fly sheet, no sure how easy or quick it would be to thread them through though?? So in theory would it be warmer because of having 2 layers? x

I can't say I noticed much difference to be honest cos I think the sigs are warm anyway and we have ehu now. The only difference I have.noticed is when we changed from an amazon 600 to the maui reef. I didn't think polycotton would make much of a difference but it is so much warmer that I had to come out of my sleeping bag when we went in September cos I was sweating.

Hmm well i have to admit i'm too scared of getting a cotton/polycotton tent! be worried about ruining it with damp etc - and then not wanting to use our Maritsa which i love! But i guess if i had a small weekender i would be able to get it into the conservatory to dry out properly..... But i just simply can not afford one  Thinking of getting a little heater for this year so we can go away for the weekends out of the school holidays (not easy when your OH works 6 days a week!) but i am being positive!! lol

Yeah i guessed he was over 6foot lol but not of gigantic proportions!
