Beautiful tent but I couldn't get it past the great she-devil...For that kind of cash she would want a folding camper.

Yes it's a beast of a tent no doubt. However, I think Outwell may have taken a little bit of a gamble here. I can imagine even the keenest campers may struggle to justify spending £1800 on a tent. Not only that, ideally you're going to need a trailer for it which is another expense (unless you already have one of course) Ive owned a Wolf Lake 5 before and that was big enough. This beast weighs 65kg! I just think for the same price, you can get a really good second hand TT. I paid about the same price for a Cabanon Stratos with kitchen that had never been used.

I could be wrong of course and they may sell really well, but nearly 2 grand? Put it this way, you can get a Bear Lake 6 with front extension for under a grand at the minute. It maybe last years but who cares? I know where my money would be!

It's the smaller one I've fallen in lust with!
The Niagara Falls, it looks almost perfect for me OH and Poppy Dog.
Big bedroom for our double camp bed and room for Poppy's bed and changing space.
Smaller living area for storage, then large open porch for cooking, sitting, site watching etc.
Only drawback is the ZIG in front area, which we don't really want/need. We have a gas fridge so don't want that sealed in.

Yes, the car is bigger than the 'van.

Personal choice i know, but even with my family of five i wouldn't like to pay for it, lift it, erect it or pull it in my trailer which is what you will need.

Nice tent but it's just a posher version of a Vermont xl to me?
The space is about the same as far as the lay out its just made of stronger materials, but then consider that you could buy 3 vermont xl 2011 spec for the price of this... it's a no brainer!!
Maybe it's just me looking through my vermont tinted specs who knows.

Loos like a nice big, comfortable tent, but very pricey and would be a pita to dry out at home if it got wet.

It is a nice tent, however, for that price, I could get a well-made Dutch canvas pyramid tent that I can put up on my own.

Looks a great tent but if I go polycotton (after my Monty dies) I like the Clear Lake. Better price/value IMHO lol

the bear lake tent with front extension is not the same tent as the Yosemite Falls. its nothing like it! its made of a different material to begin with and then it looks nothing like the new bear lake6 - its even a different colour too! ( i used to have the older bl6 ).

its not for me neither the yosemite falls just on factors of i dont need that much space and its too heavy for me to manage.

you do know of course that the rolls royce of tents, the Karsten will cost approximately 3 times the price of the yosemite falls to buy new with similiar amount of living and sleeping space by using the add-on pods?

a nice example of a basic karsten setup for 2899 euros ( 2nd hand of course at this price )

http://www.marktplaats.nl/a/caravans-en-kamperen/kamperen-tenten/m773237678-oppompbare-karsten-tent-3-50-bordeaux-2013.html?c=8c285449651fa109c354bbabe740c1b&previousPage=lr

makes the Yosemite falls seem somewhat of a bargain basement!
