Personally I'd rather have a Kampa bamburgh 6.
Been put off vango recently. Do like the air beams though

We also have the Maritsa 700 (2011 model) and can confirm everything you have seen. Its a excellent tent. The space, versatility of the doors, the large porch and the bedroom set up. Must admit we were daunted by the size but after two practices on the local field, the pitching up on site was a smooth event and had a few admirers. Do shop around as the prices and deals can vary.
They sold out in 2010 quickly, and last year the were going fast. The place where we got ours from, sold 5 in 1 week and only had 1 left which we secured over the phone followed by a mad dash to get it.

We have the 2011 Maritsa 500, so just a smaller version - I loved the 700 but couldn't really justify the size for two people and a Jack Russell!  If money had been no object however....  Having said that, we love our Maritsa 500, have got pitching down to a fine art, love the space, have survived a torrential downpour last June.  I can't wait to get it out again this year :-)

We love our maritsa700!! Go for it, worth every penny. Ours is the 2011 model too and had absolutely no problems with leaks, or anything else. I thought we'd made a mistake in that it was too big for a family of 4 but its perfect with plenty of space for clothes, sporting equipment etc and I love the front porch as our kitchen area.

Happy hunting or "perving" !!

We bought the 700 (2011)model in December which we're yet to try out (can't wait!) in the GO sale for just under £300! We've managed to find the footprint and carpet for around £100 too so we're all ready for the 2012 season now :-)
Oh and there's 3 of us - a bedroom for me and hubby, 1 for our son ad the middle one as a walk in wardrobe/loo room

Bought my tent in sept last year set it up once in back yard and blasted it with hosepipe for an hour.

No Leaks so all good

cost me 300 from go outdoors got carpet for 50 and extra ground sheet for 20 so not too bad at all.

It is an upgrade from my first tent of the halfords for man one.

so lots more space

We went to a Tent Show in early April as we needed a new tent, I had a few ideas of what I wanted, but when I saw the Maritsa 700, that was it, I knew that was the one for us.

We purchased it early April after some hunting around, had practice pitch which only took us 50 minutes, we had our first camp in May and it took us just under 30 mins to pitch.

Absolutely love it, the space is great and the wardrobe/bedroom is great for storage. The porch on the front is so versatile aswell. Nice large doors and storage pockets. Also purchased the carpet which keeps it lovely and warm.

The company we purchased from sold out at the end of April and are not having more stock until the end of June.

We also have a Maritsa 700, and LOVE IT. We have the footprint, carpet and this year purchased the porch for it. So much room for us and the grandchildren.

You will be so happy with it if you get one.

Hi we won one of these on ebay but sadly for us the courier company lost/stole the bag with the tent canvas in it so now we have a bag of useless poles and out of pocket we are gutted as we were going to go away in in it that weekend.

why would you be out of pocket? It's the seller's responsibility to get the item to you. If it's gone missing in transit you are due a full refund. Open an ebay dispute as you have not received the item (in it's entirety) Whatever the seller claims it is their responsibility to claim against the courier, not yours.

I've just been to pick up my vango maritsa 700 today that I bought on Preloved!

Can't wait to have a go at putting it up in a field somewhere. I don't think it will fit properly in our garden.

Next stop, which stove and kitchen unit to choose, and electric hook up.
