Hello,

we're thinking of purchasing the Vango Tigris 600 as we're looking for a tent which can also accommodate two bikes plus two campers.

Does anyone else have any experience/tips in purchasing a tent which will accommodate both bikes and people?

Also, does anyone know of the best way of securing bikes in a tent other than making a hole in the tent floor to screw in something which the bikes can be secured to?

Many thanks, Ceris

Are you going cycle camping, or taking the car?.

Why do they need to be in the tent ? We've never stored our bikes in the tent . At most we'd cover with a tarp and lock to a fence tree etc .

Good question, my OH is very protective of his bike as it's worth more than our car so he'd like it out of sight.

hi you could get the side extension for the 600 this would give you room to cook and store the bikes ,plus you don't need to put the ground sheet down as its separate

We have Tandem ££££££ Mrs bike £££££. My new Eletric bike £££££. Kids bikes . Tandem kayaks single kayaks . We've cycled round the world and never found the need to put bikes in the tent . The Icarus looks plenty big enough to put then in if your out for the day . Lock both bikes together get a really long cable lock and use a ground anchor screw in type if your really worried .
There's alot of people come on here worry about bikes and gear while unatended on site . But for the most part it's just not a problem . Every one looks out for others and as long as you make things difficult for the odd chancer you shouldn't have a problem .

I ment to say scew the anchor in out side near the door or I think they have a hole for EHU so feed cable lock through to lock when bikes are in and out no need for extra holes . If no EHU hole just use the door zips .
Hope this helps
Rob
