is the Montana Lake (on offer at go at the moment) really worth the extra money? I have read the reviews, but am still undecided. Is there something better for £800? We don't want a huge tent as there is only the boot of the car to fill, and a roof box.
We have been debating an upgrade to polycotton as there would be less flapping when windy (one of my pet hates when camping), and will at some point need space for 5 to sleep. But it still seems lots of money, but that is speaking as someone who hates spending! Can you get 5 SIM's in the bedroom pods?
Any advice out there?

The Montana Lake really is a great tent. I only have my parents Montana 6 for comparison and there really is a big difference in material quality & feel.
My review is in the tent section and also on Go website.
We have a double bed in one pod and two singles in the other for our 6 & 8 yr old children with comfort.
Any questions ask, but can you not get it for less than £800, I am sure someone posted on here seeing it for around £679ish recently. We picked our up for £600 last year once the sales competition starts ready for the new season.

Go Outdoors were selling it for £674 a couple of weeks ago. I would keep an eye on it as one or two retailers are selling it for £749 (including Go). If it drops below £749 then you maybe able to price match against Go Outdoors. Once all the 2011 stock is sold this tent may jump in price...
don't know what happened to my original message!
Interesting about the price being lower a while back, luckily we are not in any desperate hurry for a new tent so can bide our time and wait. It will be a bit of a squash this year, but not totally impossible. The Go email just caught my eye and got me thinking!
Can you get three sim's in one of the pods, or a double and single? Basically enough for three kids to sleep on? At the moment the 3 year old sleeps across the tent at the heads of the older two, but soon he will get too big for this.
Mind you I did then spot the Kauai, and wondered if the tent alone was sufficient so would wouldn't buy the extension, which you might end up doing for the Montana. Have you bought the extension for the Montana?
Thanks

This pic showns the inside, albeit the pods are not opened up. You will only get either a double or two single inflatable beds in either pod. without any inflatable beds you will probably get three littluns side by side. It's the beds which take up space not the children.
If you remove the partition (zipped out) you may then get a small double and three singles all pushed together. Bes tcheck the dimensions against some bed sizes as the dimensions are pretty accurate
