I'm guessing this may be a bit of a premature question, I was wondering if anyone knows of any difference between the Montana 6p and the Montana 6 (2011) extensions?
I can make out that the newer style has the tint on the windows, but I have a brand new 2011 extension and I am planning to purchase the newer 6p Montana later on in the year.
Not sure whether there are any differences other than that? Any ideas?
Cheers

It's a different shape at the from to mirror the shape of the new panoramic montana. Go Outdoors have one erected at their Blackburn store. Check your local store to maybe see one?
Is that the extension (open fronted) or the awning ? I've seen the awning is curved with the panoramic front but was wondering if the height or width of the extension differed?

I saw the new montana 6P pitched at Go Outdoors a couple of weeks ago. They had the open extension on it.The new curved front took up an awful lot of room in the extension taking away a lot of the space. I think the extension worked much better on the straight fronted Montana

Yeah I thought that from pics I have see posted on the various websites. It's only an extra 5 cm according to the spec sheet.
I'm planning to use an extension for cooking and that's about it really. I was at go outdoors in Oxford but they haven't got any of the 2012 stuff up yet. May need a trek to the bigger Swindon store.
It seems GO at Swindon have two Outwells up.. Go at Basingstoke have one outwell up (nevada M)
Go are pushing Hi-Gear (naturally, it's their own brand) and not much else this year in the way of display it seems. Maybe ring Southampton and see how much Outwell they have up?

The one erected in the Blackburn store is indeed the Awning, they have the front extension in stock for £198, but the Awning is only another £72 more.

Hi, I have just bought the outwell montana 6p from the Oxford store and decided it would also be good to get the extension to go with it. The extensions are quite expensive for the 6p version but I have been assured by an internet shop that the 2011 version will fit, not sure with the design on the front of the 6p as regards to space as I have just bought it and not seen it up yet, go outdoors oxford didn't have any montanas 2011 available but for the same price the 6p had a higher hydrostatic head of 5000 rather than 4000 which persuaded me to buy it, hope this helps.
Thanks for the info, we usually go to the Oxford store too, but as you know already, they don't have the biggest of tent areas. We've just been to the Coventry store and they had a 6p up. It's a lovely looking tent and quite a few "improvements" on the 2011 Montana 6.
We had the 2011 version but due to it being wrecked we are looking to purchase the 6p and we already have the 2011 extension. It should be no trouble fitting to the 6p from what I've seen.
Thanks for the update on the montana 6p and extension, I have just bought the 2011 extension and although the 50p style at the front of the montana 6p reduces the space size in the extension area slightly, it still covers the front tent door, offers great cover/shade and a great space for cooking, perfect! Thank you!!!
