Hi

I need some advice on where to go to get my tent repaired, i have a Suncamp Evo 600 and the zips have gone, i think this is mainly due to the design but dont know if it would be cheaper to get a new tent, or get this fixed.

If i was to get a new tent any ideas of one that sleeps at least 4, and it needs to be higher enough to walk around in as i like the size of my tent as its got sleeping compartments and space to sit and have a table in the front. (like a little front room) the only thing that lets this tent down is the design of the zips and in the rain it collects in side at the bottom.

if to get the zip fixed, where can i go, how much would it be, has anyone got any ideas.

Thank's for your help and ideas

Ask Go Outdoors, or similar. I was wanting a door stitched and they said they knew a local company that would help.

Or contact tent manufacturer maybe

Hi,

Try a company called TRIOPAIR - google them.

they are a long standing repair company I have used for many years (based in Pontefract) they offer a pick up and drop off service too.

I have had several replacement zips fitted on different tent by them during my time working for GO Outdoors

hope this helps?

Regards

Dave

Hi Salnew

Is it the stitching of the zip or actually the zip slider / teeth themselves ?

If it's the slider/teeth you may have a good chance of fixing it yourself as I did last year with the main door zip of my tent.

It just needs a pair of pliers, a gentle touch and some patience. Look up 'mending a tent zip/slider' on u tube.

If it works it's free and only takes under 1/2 hr to get your tent all fixed.

Good luck.

Thanks everyone for your ideas and welcome, i;ll have an ask around

i;ve tried fixing it myself, it worked for a while but now i cant move the zips at all, this has gone on both doors now, i've had really good use out of the tent over the years, but it has always leaked, so i may treat myself to a new pop up i;ve been looking at the Quechua bs 4.2, but need to read up on the reviews as i dont think i can stand another leakie tent.

Thanks again
