Hi I may be wrong but isn't the Magic the same as the Oakland XL? If so then there is a set-up video on Youtube, just Google Oakland XL.

are you using a footprint ground sheet or a piece of tarpaulin? the reason why im asking is beacause they want to charge me £50 for footprint where i can get a piece of tarpaulin made to measure for £28 plus its heavy duty like they use on HGV'S to cover goods.
Hi we already brought the footprint when we brought the tent think we paid fifty as well wish we looked around first We asked where we brought tent and all we got was its on you tube. Thanks
Hi Maggie, the way I would do it is similar to this video by Gary Cross he is on this forum I think,

In this clip one man pitches a Kampa Filey 6. We have an Outwell Glandale 5 and a Kampa Studland 8 and I use this method for both tents and it has proved to be quick and relatively easy.

hiya,
we also pitch our magic tent similar to the Gary Cross way.We did try to do it like the outwell video, but i just cant seem to be able to hold the poles up and put the pins in at same time.
we pitched our magic in the garden this weekend,it went up no problem, kids love it,we also got the side extension which is handy for all our cooking gear.
hope you enjoy your new tent,we have our first trip easter weekend or this weekend if car is fixed in time(excited)
Pitching Outwell tents...
Lay it out on footprint if you have one.
Peg down back end (If you have one).
peg down front end (if you have one)
Insert rear pole.
Lift pole and locate pegs.
Continue till you've done all of them.
You might need to peg out a guy line along the way.
SIMPLES! X :-)
