Hi I'm a novice camper, have had a Montana 6 since 2010 but only used it a couple of times. Planning on taking it to Salisbury in may and just tried to book but can't until I know the size, without getting it out an measuring it ( it's just been out for an airing prior to my attempting to book) could anyone help by telling me where to look for the size or if they know it themselves
Would be greatly appreciated

Haha, just thinking that myself. I suppose yes you would as it is part of the overall footprint. I would be tempted not to say anything about it and just state the width of the main tent as it is getting quite wide with the porch. There are millions and millions of Monty 6 owners who will be along to advise I'm sure!!!
Okies, I'll hang on for a bit an see what they say. I was surprised to be honest, when I rang an asked to book I said what tent I had but it wasn't enough.
Its basically impossible to judge the size of tent by how many berths it is as there are so many varietys and shapes. I wouldn't worry to be honest as the Montana is a tunnel style tent. It is the large multi pod style that sometimes have problems due to the massive amount of space they require.

You really should give the size INCLUDING the porch as you could get turned away if your tent is too wide due to fire regulations

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
I have never been asked the size of my tent before, mind you I dont normally go to sites where pitches are laid out, more of the pitch where you like sites. Perhaps I should look and find the dimensions just in case
You need to include that porch to the size of the tent, as it makes the width 530 in total. As it will influence the size of pitch you will be given, as well as the 6m rule.
As the tent will still fit on the standard 6m x 6m as guyropes are not included, but it may not be big enough for anything eles.
The earlyer Montanas, certainly the 2010 model, are a bit shorter - 575 cm as far as I remember.
