I have a Coleman Savannah which we love but there are no big windows! Thinking of using clear PVC and velcro strips to create panes over the mesh doors by sticking velcro to the tent wall and cutting PVC to correct shape and putting velcro on the PVC to then fasten over the mesh doors. Has anyone tried this or can advise on best practice??
Thanks

Sounds a good idea to me. I've sewn a PVC window in a blank front wall of a tent, and that improved the view greatly as the tent originally came with two small triangle windows which let hardly any light in.
If you sew the velcro onto the tent, make sure you cover the stitch holes on the inside with seam sealer, or use seam sealer tape.
Sounds like a good idea to me, too. Karsten tents use a clear PVC cover for their mesh windows, they are fixed with velcro:
I have tried to stick velcro to a tent wall, it didn't last long, even when I tried some very good carpet glue. You will have to sew the velcro to the wall and use seam sealer on the inside as JK98 suggests.
