Does anyone know if there is any difference between the 2011 and 2012 versions of this tent? Would be grateful for any comments, especially if you have the 2012 version. Many thanks.

Sorry, can't help you there, but you won't be disappointed with the horizon 8. We have the 2010 model which doesn't have the canopy thing over the door, but as we have the porch now it doesn't matter.
We also upgraded from the Vango Venture - that used to virtually collapse in the wind, but the horizon 8 doesn't budge.
Don't know but one improvement over my 2009 model is the windows, the old style had a mesh panel ideally positioned to let the rain in if you forgot it was open. Still like my Horizon 6 though, and the new Horizon 8's look lovely.

The pen is mightier than the sword - but only if the sword is very small and the pen is very sharp...
Thanks for your replies mohjy and pally. I think we're going to go for it, as everyone seems to speak highly of this tent :)
The centre part looks like it has plenty of room for a table and chairs- we have finally been defeated by the British weather. Do you find it to be roomy enough?

We have the 6 for 4 of us. The bedrooms are very spacious for 2 each, the living area in ours is a tad small but ok if you're tidy. The living area in the 8 would be great for a family.

We also have the horizon 8 for 5 of us. Youngest 2 share one small bedroom pod, the teenager has the other to himself and me and DH get the large (4 berth) pod cos we're greedy
The space works really well for us, I would say the only downside is the windows are a little small and when you put up the porch it covers one of the windows (unless we're not putting it up right??).
However, don't let that put you off a really good tent, just bear it in mind.
