We bought a quechua T4.1 recently to use with our campervan as we wanted a cheap tent to use for storage/changing. It doesn't come with a groundsheet, so we bought one from decathlon to use with it. But when we used it at Easter, we had problems with large puddles in the living area where the rain had run in under the sides and onto the groundsheet. Can anyone suggest the best way to arrange the groundsheet to avoid getting puddles inside the tent? Or should we not use a groundsheet at all? Thanks!

I read on here that the groundsheet should be within the base of the main tent so the run off from the tent would run off onto the grass and not onto the groundsheet where it would then run into the tent area.
Maybe the groundsheet should be tucked up around the edges, so that the edges are higher than the skirt of the tent? The corners might be a bit tricky. I'm guessing that the groundsheet is not a tailor fit for the tent.. Hope this helps.
AandJ is right, the groundsheet should rise up the inside of the flysheet. This will not only stop the rain getting in, but will also stop most of the draught too.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try folding it up round the edges next time, though I'm not sure what I'll do around the door as there is no porch, so when you unzip the doorway in rain, some water will fall into the tent. I guess I'll need to try pulling the groundsheet back away from the door.
I would keep the groundsheet within the tent. As Allurotoo says the rain will then run off the tent on to the grass not the ground sheet. Its important when using a footprint groundsheet that the tent covers all sides so the rain doesn't touch the groundsheet allowing it to form puddles and run under the tent.
