Does anyone know how this extension fits on the tent? The Yukon 6 one goes over the main front pole then two staps have a hook that goes on the ring at the bottom, then it tightens up like the strap at the bottom of the poles. Is it the same for the montana lake extension?

The Montana Lake extension goes over the front pole and there are velcro fastenings for it to attach to the side poles, if I can remember you peg the bottom down. It looks really neat when on and looks part of the tent where as I think the polyester montana 6 extension looks a bit messy with the hooks that fit on the second pole in. Hope this helps.

Thanks for those replies. It doesn't appear to have as secure fitting as the Yukon, as this has both the Velcro tapes for the poles and the strap that hooks to the main tent rings that hold it really securely.   I was thinking of swapping my Yukon 6 extension for this so it matches my tent which is an arrow lake, which is 400 wide and 210 high, so ideal extension would be 410 wide and 210 high.   The Montana lake extension is slightly too big 215 high and 425 wide (same height and 10cm wider than the Montana lake tent), but is same size as Yukon extension that fits reasonably well (pic on extension review). I think the bear lake extension would fit better, but only comes with one pole.   I was thinking of shortening the poles by 5cm each side and then stitching a fold in the fabric the full length under the window to shorten the fabric by 5 cm too (though I won't do this, but know someone who could!).   Not sure whether to go ahead or not.
