I have searched everywhere for a vango ochry 600 footprint and cannot get one for love nor money.

Would any other footprint fit?

Many thanks

Why not make one out of a tarpaulin

We have just bought the 500 I am wondering if the carpet for that wouldn't be far off the same dimensions. We noticed with our's without the canopy (we've just puchased) ) it would be okay as be warned the rain comes inside the door when exiting and entering. It might be just the right thing for yours.

Hi Purplerain,

They are rather rare I have been trying to get one for our son's Orchy so in the end we knocked one up for him. Pop off to a DIY shop and grab a tarp that's big enough and then pitch your tent on top of it then grab a big black marker pen and draw around the sewn in groundsheet all the way around the tent. Whip the tent down and then we measured in 3 inches from the marker pen line all the way around, this is so that the footprint does not extend further than the groundsheet as this would then catch any rain and you would end up with puddles between your footprint and groundsheet. Then with a pair of scissors chop away and finish off the edges so they don't fray or run with a roll of good old duck tape doubled over all the way around the footprint. To finish it off rather than putting in brass or plastic eyelets to peg it down we used rubber discs that we cut from an old air bed and stuck them in the corners on both sides to re-inforce the area's and then just punched a hole through each one with a small bit of tube against a piece of wood, perfect pegging points and flat.

Its an easy job so have a go and see how you get on.

here's a tarp that's 3m x 6m. 3m is the width of the ochry 600 so you would only have to trim a bit off the front. Just make sure when you pitch your tent over it you match it up along the back corners. You could even fold the ecxess at the front underneath and not even have to cut anything. We did this with our SV8 that has a tapered front.   As long as there's no tarp visible it won't catch the rain and allow it to run underneath and it'll still keep the bottom of your sig clean.

You may find one cheaper if you hunt around.
