We recently used our 2010/11 model Marista 600 for the first time (see Review) only to find it leaks like a sieve. It's now back with the supplier pending evaluation with Vango. Has anyone else had these problems with it? Does anyone know if Vango or any supplier have admitted formally of a bad batch, defective materials or design fault?
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Hi Begbie, I know the 2010 Marisa 700 were also leaky, however the 2011 isn't. Not sure that they ever admitted a fault but there are loads of reports of the same thing on this forum.
Hope you get it sorted and get a replacement, as they are great tents. Good luck
Quite well known that certain Martisa's had an issue with leaks
I think most companies would be reluctant to admit to a faulty batch as not all tents within that batch may be faulty. Having said that most of the leading brands have had quality issues from time to time. With regard to leaks in general I would think a large proportion of leaky tents dont leak at all but condensate
Hope yours gets sorted out quickly
