We have just bought a second hand Venture 500 as a one or two nighter tent (our main tent is a Vango Tigris 800 as we have three wee ones!) but as the Venture is discontinued are struggling to find a extention/canopy which will fir to give us a little more space.

Can anyone help here? I think the Vango Premium may be too high for the Venture - does anyone know of one which will fit? Am not coming up lucky with ebay!

Hi you need to look at Vango universal canopy/extension. You can get them off eBay or just google Vango sun canopy. A small canopy should be around £20 and the large universal extension is about £50

Yes the Vango universal canopies would be too tall for the venture as its only 170cm high at the front. You could look at the adventure tarp or something similar

The Vango sun canopy has been a topic of quite a few posts over the last couple of years and many VV5 or Vango tamor owners have used both the standard sun canopy and the large extensions with no problems. I think you might still be able to see a few on the tent photos thread

I have a large vango canopy purchased for my Venture 500. It was used once before we upgraded to a larger tent.  The canopy was just the job and provided the extra 'living room' and wet weather dining shelter we wanted.  I am hapy to sell this onto you if you are interested.
