Hi
Does any one know if theres a cheaper alternative brand for an Outwell Explorer carpet and footprint. Got the tent - Spent all my budget!
Thanks
Zoe

I bought 4 carpets from the above website last year...the Seattle one I think. They are a bit like giant picnic blankets and are fantastic at keeping the tent cosy. Amazing for the price when you look at how much the 'proper' carpet for a tent can cost.
bought a lightweight groundsheet for use as a footprint for my little Lichfield, I'm now considering carpet as both parts of the tent have bathtub SIGs and muck is easier removed from an extra layer than inside the 'tub'
Currently considering using what's in the 'makes' cupboard, a length of black waterproof PU coated polyester for the backing. Thinking of then stitching to it - 1, a piece of towelling by each door for doormats, and 2, a length of poly fleece in the centre for 'cosy' but not sure yet what to use as a non-slip backing
Will no doubt be stitching through the waterproof layer in criss cross fashion as it's not essential to stay fully waterproof
------------- Still trying to get the packing right.
There are some great prices on carpets. The manufacturers don't make it easy for you to compare living areas, obviously because they want you to buy the carpet specifically designed for the tent.
Can anyone tell me what the Royal carpets are like?
Thanks K

All the royal carpets weve had have been good quality in fact to my mind better than most other brands
