I love my Vermont XL, now I've had it for a year the only thing that's bugging me is how the front porch ground sheet uses toggles to hold it in place. There's not enough toggles or better still I'd prefer it to zip in place because on cold nights it sags away from the tent sides leaving large gaps for cold air to get in. I'm currently trying out velcro all the way around but it doesn't like to stick to the tent.
It's a great tent though, loads of little Outwell touches and all that space is just fantastic.
I find the same with the front porch groundsheet, love our tent though and amazed how big it looks without the wardrobe xxx

What a great set up & lovely big tent...I'll show your pics to all those doubters I work with who feel sorry for me when I say I'm going camping...my set up's nowhere near as good as yours but given something to aspire to!
I have finally gone and bought the 5-in-1-couch. They look so good in everyones piccies. I could not resist the temptation.
DS wants it for his bed. GRrr

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Your's is a slightly different design to Wilkinsons. Paid £20 I was going to buy the chair, instead I went for the couch.
I do like your set up.

Wow! Looks so cosy. We have this tent and I'm gutted to say we didn't use it last year but hoping to go away this year, it's a fantastic tent! Hope you have many wonderful holidays to come :)
Lovely photos. We`ve had our Vermont XL for 4 or 5 years now and we love it. I see you don`t use the wardrobe either, we used it our first trip and haven`t used it since, the extra space without it is more useful than the wardrobe itself.
We bought ours, as it ticked all the boxes for what we needed when went camping with our two teenage kids, next year we will be camping with just the dog as the kids are older now and don`t want to go camping anymore and we`ve been debating what to do with the Vermont. We have a Montana 6, but after using the Vermont for our longer summer hols for so long, we are used to the space and set up, love the seperate porch area (we use it as the kitchen area) so we don`t really want to sell it. I have a sneaky feeling it will be me, him and the dog in a huge Vermont
Wow thats one seriously big tent. Lovely photos, thanks for sharing. I prefer something a bit smaller and simpler myself but each to their own and it does look really nice. Anyone who doubts that camping can be luxurious should take a look at your pics!
