Hi. Does anyone know if Kampa do the Filey 6 extra bedroom in polycotton for the Filey 6 Classic? I know the polyester will fit as the sizes are the same but I'm finding it hard tracking down a polycotton version. Thanks.

I can't be 100% certain but I have a vague memory that the Classic wasn't designed to have the separate inner. Someone else had asked.

Love our set-up and need no more tents or gear, so trying to stop looking!

According to the 2012 brochure there is the option of an extra bedroom in the Filey Classic. Again according to the brochure the bedrooms are in poly-cotton; I presume the bedrooms in the standard Filey are breathable polyester.

We bought our Filey Classic in 2011 and ordered all the extras... boot locker, carpet, vestibule, extra bedroom pod etc.  When we eventually got everything (due to numerous delays) and put up the tent for the first time we found there were no fittings to attach the spare bedroom so ended up with a bedroom pod that we couldn't use!  At the time all the  diagrams showed the tent with the optional extra bedroom.  Looks like they are still using the same diagram which is very confusing.

Maybe they changed the design for 2012 but I think it's probably best to phone them and hope you get someone who knows what they are talking about (we got a girl who knew less than we did about the tent... not very helpful).

Oh yikes! Thanks. One of the reasons we bought the tent was to add the pod at the front so I hope it does have! I understood the only difference between 2011 and 2012 was that they changed the fluorescent green zips to brown. I will email Kampa to check and will put a reply on so that others can find out. Thanks.

Hi, We bought the Filey 6 classic in 2011 and loved the fact that it had the extra bedroom. The first time we used the tent we didn't need the extra room but when we looked there were no fittings at all to put the extra bedroom up, to say we were dissapointed is an understatement after all the problems that we had getting the room in the first place. We contacted the place where we bought the tent and they said that apparently Kampa had released some tents without the fittings for the bedroom. They have arranged for us to take the tent to a specialist repaire place and they are going to fit the fixings, so fingers crossed next trip will be all good!!!
