We put up our Karma 4m zig last weekend and suffered from high winds and heavy rain. I was disappointed to find water dripping in through the stitching by the zig and pooling on the floor. I was worried that we'd wake up in a paddling pool in the morning so frantically went all around the tent with seam sealer trying to stop the drips...... This seemed to slow it down but didn't stop it completely, so we slept with kitchen roll strategically placed to catch the rain. Luckily it stopped during the night so we weren't flooded out in the morning The only problem now is.......will it leak again, or will it now settle down??? We're off again next weekend so we might find out then!!!!
Oh, by the way, can anybody tell me......our bell has elasticated loops near the bottom of the fabric, above the zig pegging tabs.....do you hook these onto the same pegs as the zig (which seems a bit tight) or do you leave them un-pegged???
Peg the elasticated loops seperately - this pulls the canvas over and covers the top of the zip, so no leakage
Thanks for the advice Jean........
I think that sounds like a good idea. I'm hoping it's teething troubles as apart from the leaks I love the tent!!!!!

It didnt stop raining overnight and all through the day yesterday (Queen's Jubilee Sunday) and it has really leaked. There is water pooling at each point where the groundsheet is pegged. We didn't actually sleep in it and nothing has been touching the sides. I am very disappointed as we have read that they are excellent in bad weather. Should we have waterproofed it first e.g. Using Fabsil? Any suggestions?
Oh no!!!! I bought mine in October, and haven't used it yet, as I plan to do soon weather permitting Hope to goodness that ours doesn't leak and am really worried about it now. All I have heard about these tents have been good, which is why I went for Soulpad in the first place, my husband would be furious, and I have only just got him onboard in my dreams of a 5m bell tent. Will have to wait and see I suppose
