I have just returned from a trip in our Outwell Salinas L and when I pitch the tent I seem to have problems with the pole for the side opening - it just doesn't seem right.
The amount of tension seems too great when the pole is in (which I find impossible to do as per the youtube vid). one side of the pole fits into the necessary flap without issue and looks fine but the other side has to go on the outside of the steel pole and when in the provided flap it is pushing right back into the tent. I think that one slip putting it into place would leave a very big hole in the tent.
Does anyone else have the same issue? I have had the tent for a year (nearly) and assumed when I was first putting it up that I was doing something wrong but realise that I am not that stupid!
Do any of the other Salinas owners have the same issue?

Noticed this myself on My Nevada M, the Rainsafe Porch is extremely tight. In particular I was drawn to the fact that the fixing on the left hand side is about 6-8 inches lower than on the right hand side.
I will be going to look at some display models and see if this is the norm.
Has anyone else noticed this ?
My first Nevada M we got did not have the fixing attached on one side at all and returned the tent.
------------- Best Regards
Nathan
