We have a 2006 Montana 6. We've enjoyed many family holidays both in the UK and France over the years but have just bought a Montana Lake.

My feeling is that we offer the Monty 6 to a good home but OH thinks we could sell it for a small price.

There's nothing wrong with it apart from :

it lets in a small amount of water behind the bedroom pods after heavy rain.

an extremely small hole in the sig which was repared with tenacious tape and has never leaked.

I also, stupidly, have a sentimental attachment to the tent and could happily keep it under the stairs forever!

We know how you feel. We have a Montana 4 which holds many happy memories for us. Nothing wrong with the tent but we have two children now and have upgraded for the extra space. We were going to advertise it at Easter but haven't done so yet.

If you know someone who would get good use out of it then I would give it to them to start them off with the camping bug,if not then sell it..I wouldn't freecycle it as many on there get things for free and then sell them on ebay etc, which is not the idea at all!! At least if you do sell it it will give you a little money and space to get some nice shiny new things for your new tent. and if you give it to someone you get the feelgood feeling of doing someone a good turn, either way you gain some space!!

If you don't know of anyone who you could give it to and would benefit and appreicate it, then I would pop it on eBay and see what you can get for it (probably not much but something is better than nothing!)

The Montana 6 is one of Outwell's best sellers. Outwell tents hold decent 2nd hand value too.

Pop it on eBay; you may be surprised by how much it fetches. Just be honest (as you have been here), on the description.

Or you could just keep it under the stairs for a weekend tent!

Thanks everyone. Will ask at work if anyone wants it I think. If not will put it on ebay. We could do with freeing up some space!
