Hi to all, bit of a long time lurker and very infrequent poster 
Just wondering if anybody else has the Outwell Birdland 5 and what your thoughts are? We've just had a 2 night camp in ours, first time pitching it and it's also our first Outwell, having owned a variety of other brands, mainly Vango.
Seemed a great tent initially, however, we found the door very poorly designed and not what I expected given Outwells reputation. It's sloping and will let in the rain on entry/exit. Thankfully we only had a few light showers and as it's a weekend tent, we are likely to use it when we know we're in for a fine spell of weather. You would almost certainly need the canopy for longer trips (a ploy from Outwell perhaps?). We also found that as the door opens upwards, you either have to have it fully open or fully closed up. The door is very wide, and on a warm day, it's ideal to have it fully open, but not so ideal in slightly cooler climes.
Secondly, we had a real problem with condensation despite all the vents being open. I would like to give it another test run to see if this is an issue or just bad luck with pitching/weather conditions etc.
Thirdly, Outwell pegs are flipping useless, particularly the fluro plastic things. Every one of ours bent at the end and are rendered useless for another camp.
Ideally I would be sending the tent back, but as the other half has made a small hole in the SIG I suspect my efforts will be futile.
Am I being a bit 'picky' or have others had similar issues with this tent?
