We also bought the verano dl porch this year from a supplier that had it pictured as silver and blue, when we recieved it the colour of the 2012 models had be changed to all blue. The canopy was sent back and money refunded.
We found in Walsall a shop that sold shop soiled veranos that were blue and silver and even though it was marked it was the colour of our tent so we bought it...obviously cheaper than the brand new one.
The gap at the bottom is quite deep but I have read one here about the verano dl's poles being too long and they are sposed to be 194 from bottom to the start of the bend and ppl have shortened the poles and have found that it fits a lot better...we are also going to try this and I will let you know if it works when we come back from holiday in August.

Iam bitterly dissaponted with the sunncamp elise DL extension.( Brown and Cream)
This was the first time Id had the extension up and I also had the 3 to 4 inch gap at the bottom. I couldnt find a grounsheet to fit exactly and the one I purchased seperate ended up being far too big and bulky! I then had to peg all the way round the bottom! Should have took it down as it couldnt serve any purpose.
It was neither use nor orniment!!! surely there should be some sort of ground cover built in??? To think we paid £120 just for extension!!!
I bought a Verano extension at the Easter BH weekend. Mine isn't massively too short, but it certaintly doesn't touch the ground either. Ideal for an outside cooker / toilet area for us though. Mine is grey IIRC.
Thank you for all your comments Suestan2, Kostas1 and Gloucester. At least I know now that I am not the only unhappy customer . I think basically Sunncamp are selling a substandard product and certainly not up to the standard of other things we have purchased in the past.
I have really been put off now from buying anything else from them and also recommending them as it seems they can change the rule book as they go along, especially with the change of colour etc.
I will be really interested to hear how you get on please Suestan2 with the shortening of the poles.

Just a thought, after reading the verano reviews on here and finding out its possible to trim the poles down to the correct size, if we do this, would the ring and pin system be easy to pop out the bottom of each pole, then be re inserted afterwards???
Hi...I don't really know the answer to your question but I have found where I read about cutting the poles..I,ve put the link here.. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/tents/p/SunnCamp-Verano-DL-Canopy/1733
The chap who did it will most likely be able to answer it for you..
