HI

Weve got a Kalahari 8 but have only got 1 pod instead of 2 as Go Outdoors lost the other (long story). Now its not really a prob at the moment as its only hubby, me and daughter that are camping so we can all sleep at one end of tent and have huge living space, but obviously it will cause issues when we have other people camping with us

Does anyone know where we might be able to get another "pod" from? I've heard that the Kalahari8 is practically identical to another tent made by Gelert but cant remember which one .... does anyone else know? If we cant get a replacement "pod" does anyone know if its possible to make one and if so how difficult is it?

have a look on ebay there is a seller on there who sells tents from go outdoors they might have one for sale or email him and ask if they might ba able to get you one

thanks db i know the seller your talking about turns out they are actually the company that repairs the go outdoors stuff (was told this by a manager at Go outdoors) so maybe i should contact them as it was the repair shop that lost my "pod" to begin with lol be just my luck to buy the same pod back lmao

yeh thats my sort of luck as well but at least you will get a pod and without a dowt go has given you a good discount for losing it in the first place

lol got to admit this tent has been extremely cheap .. orig paid £199 it got sent back for repair after first pitch as had 2 mangled eyelets and a bedroom pod couldnt close cause of zip this earned us £100 discount so tent cost £99 and now that its been discovered that the repair company has lost the pod they were fixing Go Outdoors gave us a further discount of £56 which means in total out 8 man kalahari cost us £43!!!! hence why im not ranting and raving at go outdoors as they have been fantastic .... but now got to go in search of a pod that will fit lol

U could contact alchemistic shop on ebay who ofeten sell kalahari spares/factory return tents to see if they have any

we bought our tent from there

Choccy ive messaged alchemistic to see if they can get 1 fingers x'd they can

Saz thanks for telling me that i knew it was the same as one of them but didnt know which one so hopefully if need be I may be able to use this as a back up plan
and if all else fails I'll just have to get the sewing machine out and make one

Are you really sure the Kalahari 8 is the same as the Gelert Horizon 8 it looks totally different to me and the length and width are different
