I've never stocked the smaller airbeams so hard to say. All the AirBeams I have stocked have two big webbing guy straps front and rear that keep the tents nice and taught.

I am still trying to work out whether to go for another airbeam or not. My only reason not to is I WANT POLYCOTTON.
I have been unlucky and have had 2 Friday afternoon models an Eclipse 600 and an exodus 800xl with canopy. I loved both and wouldn't hesitate to go for another one. well apart from the side canopy on the Exodus. I wouldn't get that again
Just wait until the info for the 2014 tents starts to come out and then get a short list and Visit a good display with a lot of inflatables and normal tents. There's nothing better than getting in a tent before you buy. A good retailer will save you money by getting you in the right tent for you so you don't end up buying another tent a tear down the road.

you are totally right Gary, that's assuming we get a refund. I really don't want another 2013 model, which is currently What's being offered. So if they won't budge, I will demand waiting for a 2014 model. we will see, from what I can see it is the Eclipse we will go for next year IF we go inflatable. I have now seen the new smart airs and they wouldn't work for us. How much do you reckon the who Eclipse package will be next year.
Only other maybe is the sunncamp.
Having said all that destiny has been a Buggar to us in the last week and I am not even sure we will be in the position to camp next year :-(
The other possible option is Oct a cheapish but decent 2nd hand tent of ebay over the winter and see how we go for the season.
Phew. Went for a nosey round our local camp store. Nearly bought the Genisis 500 airbeam for weekend breaks with no glamping. It looks like the Icarus 500 except inflatable. Simple design and practical with just 3 air poles. £439 I was really tempted. But having just brought the bell tent I came to my senses. But for how long??? Geoff

I've always found it takes me longer to put all the guys out and fill the tent up with all our stuff than it does to actually just put the poles in the thing.
Leaking would always be a worry for me, even if it were the 2nd or 3rd year.
