Hi,

We've got a Biscaya 500 and were wondering which carpet would fit best - we've looked at a lot of Outwell carpets, but the dimensions are not listed!

Presumably Outwell carpets only cover the living area, so finding a carpet 5m wide could be a challenge!

According to the brochure our living area is 3.2m x 5m and any help would be much appreciated. I don't mind stitching 2 carpets together if necessary.

Thanks in advance for your help/advice

Not sure if Cabanon make a specific carpet, I’m sure someone will come along and let you know. The only advice I can offer if they don’t is to find a tent with a similar size /layout. Then see if the offer a carpet to fit. The only issue apart from a good fit maybe the colour.

Thanks Tony we will look into it. Although it may not be cheap we aren't intending to ever need to buy another tent, so the cost per year/trip should be a lot less! Plus after investing on the tent we want to look after it!!

the other half 'forgot' to measure te exact living dimensions while we were pitched last week - luckily we are going away again in 3 weeks!!

I agree it's worth the cost - brilliant tent by the way. Ours is the 370 which is great for shorter trips. We are away in our bear lake at the moment. Good luck with the carpet!

I know people with outwell carpets for their biscaya but I don't think the sizes will work for us :-(

We brought an eco mat for our biscaya 440, but after 2 camps have ditched it for a couple scattered picnic mats, takes up less room in the car.

Haven't found the floor cold to touch, but like to have a mat inside the door to trap some of the grass etc.

They are fab tents aren't they, love them to bits.

Have you had a look at Isabella Bolon carpet?

It comes in several different widths 2.5, 3.0, 3.5 and is cut by the half meter. We ordered the Bolon Bohuslan in 3.0x4.5 for our Cabanon 440, from caravanalia.com

Although we like the Outwell carpets, we liked that it could be cut to the size of the tent living area without fraying.

Only used ours for a couple of trips this year but it’s obviously high quality - not fleecy like the Outwell carpets, but still soft and comfortable, easy to clean and does not absorb water… best of all it’s lightweight, so has a relatively small pack size.
