We put our newly acquired Montanna lake up at the weekend and I've got a couple of questions I'm hoping other owners can help with
1. My wife and I found it a bit of a struggle lifting the 4 pole sections concertina style as per the Outwell video. I'm sure I've seen a post somewhere suggesting a different way of pitching the tent has anybody got a link to this
2. At the rear of the bedroom section there are two buckle style hangers at the very top but only one bedroom compartment has a corresponding buckle. The compartment without one seems to have a mesh panel where it would go so I'm assuming the buckle is absent on purpose but can anyone confirm ?
Have to say that the tent looks and feels fabulous, can't wait to use it properly.
Thanks
Jim

I've got a BEar Lake so can only answer from that point of view. We too have the two buckles on the tent, only one on the inners. Apparently it is so that you could put in a kids room or whatever by rolling one half of the universal inner away. Personally I wish they'd just spent the extra 50p and put another buckle on the inner because it would hang better, but I just lay the other way to sleep :-)
This is a link to the Yeomans man putting up the BL on his own - presumably the principle is the same for the ML. We tend to peg the back corners and then put one pole in at a time and lift each one as we do. We often find it helpful to stand a 9 year old holding the first pole upright, but it is not necessary.
We had the same question about the poles, but we now mange to lie onto position with no problems... I think it comes down to technique in lifting.
We insert all of the poles drag then together on the floor and walk it up onto the standing position. Make sure you open the front door before you do to let the air in.
It's hard at first but you do get used to it. we can now do it in 30 minutes or less.
I tried ours last week too - its heavy isn't it - we didn't gather the poles altogether we just put them up one a once but think next time we will try the gathering method! I didn't put the bedroom pods in though - as I was "weathering it" - it didn't seem to leak at all!

Hi the 'extra' buckle I think you're referring to is for an additional kids room. You would need this if you fold half of the universal bedroom away and hang the kids room...
You tube "Montana 6 awning yeomans" it shows a yeomans guy pitching the Montana 6 on his Own! I've tried this method and it's dead easy! Sure it will work for the Lake he also does the packing away video two !that is very very useful

Sorry, but the poles on the 6 are not the same as the ones on the lake. The top section of the pole on the 6 can be fed in separately, and then the uprights can be inserted. On the lake, the poles come as one long pole, not as separates.
