Hi all - the old tent is dying - the Hartford XL is appealing but.......have you Hartford XL owners found it easy getting single pitches with a big tent or have you been charged double bubble?

Keen to know if you have found it easy and where please or.......if you have found it a pain!

Thanks

Davina

We have a Hartford XL and have not paid (would not either) for a large pitch...but we check the small print and if it looks like they may try to charge..we go elsewhere. We prefer the quieter ccc cl sites anyway. You just need to check with site before hand and be flexible ie not have your heart set on one particular site just in case.
We have had ours for 3yrs plus and no problems at all!

we had no problem when we holidayed in France, though choose site with large pitches, have now bought smaller tent for family needs.

The Halford was a goood buy for our family.

Hi
I think the answer to your question is that you will restrict yourself to the number of sites that you can go to with the Hartford which is what we found with our Royal Biaritz. However there are still lots of sites out there which will accept it and there is a whole thread on here called "sites that accept large tents". It may also be a good idea to contact some sites you want to go to and see if they have a large enough pitch

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again

We've had one for 3 years and not had a problem, also quite happy to pay a bit extra as well for a large pitch.
