Please can any body help us in regard to putting up our Coleman Weathermaster Plus tent.We are going away on Tuesday and just need some advice/tips on erecting it.
We only bought it a few days ago and do not have time before we go away to pitch it.The instructions on the inside of the bag look a little vague.
We are new to this website ( Only joined this morning ! ) and would really appreciate some pitching advice.
Kind Regards
Rosieyorkshirelass

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I'm not to sure on your tent but you could try YouTube ,even if your tent is not on there will be similar ones, ytgen just adopt the idea,
I think with yours I would lay tent down feed poles through again I think they are colour coded , usually where pole connects there will be a ring and pin set up ,the poles fit onto the pin ,do one side then the other.
Peg down one end and lift this end and peg guys to hold in place, then lift each section and loosely peg as you go untill tent (which will almost lift itself) will take shape. Then tighten and peg and guy the tent.
Hope ths helps and doesn't sound difficult,I can do better than trying to explain
Best of luck and hope you enjoy your camp

Hopefully somewhere for a weekend in Sept

This tent doesn't have the ring and pin system.  The poles have a spike on the end which go into eyelets on the webbing straps attached to the groundsheet, which is much easier.

The rest is pretty much the same as Tim says, but its best to do the two centre poles first and then the end ones.  No need to guy until its standing.

I had this tent for 7years, so if you need to know anything else, please ask.

Have a look in the tent review section on here.  I've had a look but could'nt see a weathermaster plus so I'm not too sure how the tents differ with regards to erecting them.

Thanks very much for your help and advice. We managed to have a go this afternoon at pitching in our local park and it went very well. There is no instruction booklet, only the thing sewn in the side of the bag, but could anybody tell us a little about the roof section which seems to be removable. I have not got a clue what to do with it or what it does.Anymore help is really appreciated.

You can unzip the roof sections over both bedrooms and roll them back.   This leaves mesh panels in the main tent which corresponds with mesh roofs in the inner tents so you can star gaze at night.  Lovely feature, I really miss that.  I only used one bedroom most of the time with ours, so enjoyed the open roof in the living area.

I used one of these for 2/3 years, I always
erected it by myself, I used to peg down firmly
ALL 4 CORNERS first, then erect the pole sections
one at a time, doesnt really matter which one
first/last, I just started with the nearest one.
As stated, keep the doors open while lifting.

Mick

ps   I still have my old one for spares/repair !
