This might be a bit of an odd question but we're looking to sell our Vango Icarus 600 (will probably eBay it) but we're keeping the posh tent pegs to use on our other tent.
As a buyer, would you be put off by buying a tent that isn't "complete"? It's no big deal for us to buy a couple of packs of tent pegs, other than I'd rather not outlay any more cost if I don't need to :)
Any thoughts appreciated!

As long as you clearly state this when you sell the tent I can’t see it being a big problem.
You may find that selling the tent without pegs may reduce the offer price though. For a small outlay you could buy some cheap pegs which may increase the final selling price above the outlay for the tent pegs.

Most people with some knowledge will not care and buy rocks pegs but as mcguire mentions its worth a small outlay for cheap pegs to make it "fit for purpose" under some peoples impression and it might dent peoples confidence in what you are selling.
Ebay is crazy with prices at the best of times, it would be worth the outlay to get back as much money as you can.

Yes it may affect the final sale price, nowt so queer as folk.
Either buy some cheap pegs or put a link on your advert to some cheap ones to give people an idea of how easy and cheap it will be to pick some up. Might be worth mentioning how many they need too.
Thanks all, some great advice and you're right. For the sake of spending another £6 on bog standard pegs, not having them might put off some eBay buyers.
Yes I also think you may get a lower price for it without pegs so I would buy some wire ones to go with it

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again

Be careful with your eBay advert I had some real grief recently over an recently as they didn't read my advert properly , also maybe consider waiting to sell your tent until spring as you may get more it then
