As i've said before, I always like to be able to see outside the tent so bell tents always fall short a little for me in that respect.. A couple of windows somehow, or a way to open them out when it's warm would be cool...
There is something very lovable about them though. Lovely earthy honest colour too.. £850 isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things..
p.s. The half moon windows go some way... I have to admit
The problem with this tent, (for me at least) is that it is proofed with a synthetic coating inside. This stops the fabric from breathing, negating the best thing about cotton tents. It will feel damp inside., and suffer from condensation (at times) I have a Vango peace 800 cotton tipi, that is proffed inside, and it has suffered from condensation problems even during the summer. I would go for a normal cotton fabric that breathes. There are other bell tents on the market for less money just as big.
------------- Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.
