Finally got out Monte Verde 900 pitched! Had an abortive trip to the park after we couldn't get the legs on but silicone spray sorted that one out - then a trip to a friend's garden ... tent was same width as garden so struggled to get the legs in
... finally went back to the big field in town and got the whole thing up in 55 minutes, although only pegged at corners and just a few guys back and front.
My question is about the Vango guylines ... they don't seem very long even when extended to their full length and only just reach the floor by the base of the legs - doesn't look as though they will be able to be guyed out at about 45 degrees which is what I've done on my old Hartford tent ... never come across this ring system and I'm wondering if I am adjusting them incorrectly but can't find anything on the web or instructions to change how I've adjusted them.
Sure someone on here will have some advice or a picture ... didn't think to take a pic myself

There could a couple of explanations. Have you got the guylines caught up in or over the pole clips rather than free, which would mean that they are short as length is taken up in the wrong direction? Have you adjusted the slider on the guyropes which you use to length or tighten the guyropes? They are often set short when they arrive new. Have you definitely undone the full length of guyrope with none caught up in the velcro used to tidy them away? If they are genuinely that short and cannot be adjusted, maybe they are faulty. They should definitely manage a 45 degree angle.
------------- Love our set-up and need no more tents or gear, so trying to stop looking!
Had a look at the pitching video ... could do with a bigger screen to see the guys a bit better but they definitely seem longer than ours. It appears to be a slightly different model too cos we have webbing straps at the front and back of ours and the porch canopy is on the opposite side on ours too.
and thanks too Speedcamp
"Have you got the guylines caught up in or over the pole clips rather than free" - did that on a couple so lesson learned to check the poles and guys before pinning them! However even on the ones that were ok the guys seemed short ...
I'm not sure if we are trying to adjust them incorrectly but we basically ended up with the guy from the roofline and the guy from the side clip going through the 'o' ring at one side and then a loop from the other side of the 'o'ring which just about reached the base of the tent when extended to maximum loop size ... also has some sort of weird three holed tension bar instead of the normal two holes ...
Wish I had taken pictures now ... think I will have to have a trip to the nearest centre where they have one set up before we go to examine the guys there!

the loop from the otherside of the o ring to the ground should be single line...only getting doubled up to tighten near the peg.
personally i quite like the vango sliders, they seem to keep a good 'lock' on the guy line..

hope you get it sorted..
That might be where we are going wrong then ... so there should be a single thread away from the 'o' ring and a small loop near the peg which gets tightened?
yes...thats it...
slacken the 'loop to ground' part of the line till it is just single line with a loop near the peg...peg it where you need it then tighten the slider up towards the tent.
hope that solves it for you..

Aha! So on this picture on the front pole(if your eyesight is good and you ignore the fact that we twisted the guy round the tent pole!!!) the slider needs to be a long way away from the 'o' ring forming a small loop and NOT the huge loop that we had which takes up all the line!
