The measurements for both are on the Outwell website

We've got the Montana 6 and went for the awning. It gives you the best of both worlds, open it up fully and it's pretty much the same as the extension, close it up if the weathers bad or you want the extra privacy.

I have both for our Montana 6P (not used front extension yet). If you can only get one, get awning as it does both (it can be opened and the front can be rolled back like / \ type way!). I have seen the 6P extension up at Go Outdoors and sadly you don't have as much space as previous versions due to new front. We still got it as we don't always want to take awning for shorter trips but still want some cover - using the door as cover does not work that well..

This is true, but with the new 6P awning you dont have zip up curtians, Outwell may think Tinted Windows is enough.
