Hi

I have a Robens tent which has external black tent pole sleeves. These have faded to a patchy browny green colour. Whilst they remain perfectly functional, cosmetically they let the tent down! Has anyone else experienced this and do you have any tips for restoring them back to black.

The sleeve material is black nylon(cordura?)

I have a similar situation (I won't say problem) with my Vango. The pole sleeves look tatty compared to the rest of the tent. But 'handsome is as handsome does' - as long as the sleeves are not torn or badly worn I'm prepared to live with discolouration.

You could try shoe polish perhaps?

Dont do anything...You could ruin the tent buy cleaning with soap or trying to die them etc.
