We have sold our Pullman due to OH's increasing limited mobility but we don't want to give up on camping. I really like the look of the Kauai Reef, it's just the right size etc. But I will have to pitch it with my two children, I'm not weak but I'm only 5 feet tall, kids are 11 and 8. So if you have one or similar please could you tell me what it's like to pitch and, I'm not sure whether the dealer was trying to put me off, but I have also been told the colour is way too bright and means we'll all be awake at 4am when the sun comes up. Is that true ..... I really like the colour Thanks

we have the hawaii reef which I think is bigger than the Kauai and Mauri, im 5ft 6 and my partner is shorter, and we struggle to lift ours up, each time we get better at it, as we find different ways to see if easier, ours has 3 steel polls going across and weight of the canvas makes it impossible in my opinion to do on my own. But maybe as yours is smaller with the kids help it may be possible.
As for the colour we love it, our bedroom pods are very light coloured but we dont find the light wakes us up if anything its the chirping birds. Its not same tent that you are interested in but same range and we love ours.
Wish you well in what ever decision you make.

Thanks Andrea that's really helpful. It's the lifting up I would be doing with the children, once upright my OH would be able to help so it's worth knowing it's potentially heavy. I'm pleased you love your tent.

We have the maui, we dont put the poles in and walk it out as it can be a bit heavy.
We found that pegging out the 4 corners of the groundsheet and putting in the middle pole is the best way.
It'll stand up with just the middle one in and then put the rest in afterwards. Its quicker and easier to do it like this so you should be able to manage.
The colour is beautiful, its not too light in the mornings even in full sun, i would recommend the reef tents every time.
The only thing i will say is that i'm 5'6 and i cant reach the top bedroom clip points or the light hanging point, oh has to do that, he is 5'8
Hi
It's not the tent for you... Two people are required, ok on the nicest day with no wind you might do it but it will be a struggle. I think you should wait until next year when there will be a better selection of poly cotton inflatable tents from Vango and Outwell.
Super easy.
