Hi Guys we are currently useing an outwell montana 6 and an outwell alabama for cooking. As there are only 2 of us what with old age and just laziness we are finding it increasingly difficult to set it all up and take it all down again so any ideas for a replacement ???. The wife is claustrophobic so we want a tent allmost as big as the montana and as wind and waterproof but a bit lighter and easier to put up. The alabama i'll replace with a coleman shelter at the front of the new tent for cooking and relaxing but which tent. As i said it needs to be as good as the montana in bad weather with 1 big bedroom and lots of windows but easier for us we'd like to camp for a week in Devon then pack everything away and move down to Cornwall for another week but just cant face it. A trailer tent would be good but we have storage issues so its gotta be a big tent any ideas ????

I like the idea of the Kampa Hayling 4, pack size looks quite small when we saw it in our local camping shop. Lots of space inside and has a small inbuilt porch area which can be used to cook in if the weather was bad. It has been discontinued apparently so we are looking around for a bargain.
------------- A problem shared is a problem halved
There are only two of us and not as young as we were, we have a Kampa Studland for week or more trips and an Outwell Glendale 5 for short breaks. Easy to pitch with plenty of room, built in porch, loads of windows (my wife is claustrophobic also) we love the Glendale.

Surely something around the same size as the Montana is going to take just as long to pitch and if its to be as strong then it has to have metal poles so no weight saving

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again

ok from the sublime to the ridiculous any tips on putting up a outwell tennessee 5 with just 2 weak and feeble people any shortcuts cheers
I was recently impressed by the Kampa Carbis 5, very spacious and you can move the front end panel backwards or forwards or remove it completely so you decide how much space you want inside the tent vs under the canopy...unsure though how much easier it'll be to pitch than the Montana
given your circumstances id agree with mindthatguyropes choice of an airbeam tent - just attach the inflator and up goes your tent - just need to peg it down and your all set! - sounds perfect!
