Hi, we have just used our brand new HiGear corado 8 for the first time and we have a few problems with it. I spoke to Go Outdoors today, and they told us to return it to the store we got it from, it gets sent off, repaired, then returned. This all seems fine, but the earliest we can get it there is thurs (possibly) failing that it will have to be saturday.
This wouldn't be a problem normally, but some friends have just asked us to go camping the weekend after next, and was wondering if anyone knows how long the turn around will be? I didn't think to ask whilst on the phone as I thought that was us done for this year!
Thanks
Melissa

The best place to answer your question is the store you are taking it back to. Cant you ask them to replace it as its faulty goods
------------- Experience enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
you could ask them if they can loan you a tent as you have a camping trip arranged now- having bought your tent from them in good faith that it wouldnt be faulty, your trip is now in jeopardy if they dont swop your tent straight way or at least within a week and ask if its possible to be loaned one?.
I'm going to push for them to replace it, and as two of the sleeping pods are wrong I should hope they will replace it. Although very nice, the guy on the phone didn't seem to know an awful lot!

You have a right to ask for a replacement or refund if the product is faulty see this website. The paragraph to note is the bit that says that repairing the item must be at no cost to you so the fact that you have booked a camping holiday and will have to cancel if you do not have a tent would mean it would cost you money therefore you should ask for an exchange or refund and you will be well within your rights to do this. I would not take any nonsense and quote your statutory rights.

What you didn't mention was how ago it was bought, so my advice would be for items bought within the last 6 months. Older than this and you "may" still get an exchange as the item should be fit for purpose and if it never has been then you could still argue the case.
