Hi
just wondered if any XLP owners could tell me if the built in wardrobe can easily be unclipped and if the fitted carpet goes around the wardrobe or underneath it?
I am enquiring as we are unable to buy a Vermont carpet this season but after looking at the wolf Lake 7 carpet I think it should fit as long as I can fit it under the wardrobe.I realise it is a few inches bigger but I think this will be OK.

thanks

The wardrobe can be completely removed but leaves a toggle in the ground sheet.

The carpet has a hole in it with a rubber sleeve which allows the clip on the wardrobe to be undone and reattached to the floor toggle.

Sorry, I managed to start a new thread instead of replying: anyway, here it is:

Hi there,

Yes, the wardrobe unclips simply from the floor. The carpet for the Vermont XLP actually has a drawstring hole where the wardrobe fixes through to the groundsheet.

The carpet extends underneath the wardrobe.

Go Outdoors appear to have them in stock at the moment at the Bedford store. If you call the store, I am sure that you could ask them nicely to wrap it up and put a label on it for Hermes to collect? I've not tried that with Go, but have with other retailers with success.

Hope that helps
Matt

go outdoors will ship an item thats in stock to another go outdoors store for you to go to and purchase from that store.

ring the store that has in stock the item that you want and ascertain that they actually have it there in front of them and ask them to put it aside as you will be requesting it to be transferred to your local store for purchase and pickup.

you then need to call the manager of your local store and ask them to email the store which has the item you want in stock to do a transfer of the item to your local store who will then contact you to come in and purchase and collect it. let the manager know that you have already spoken to the store which has the item in stock and that they are awaiting his email - hope this info is helpful.

iv just done this process today with a tent as my local store doesnt have any but a store 200 miles away does!.

Had an Email again today saying still out of stock in bedford, why do they keep saying in stock until you actually reserve one?

I can confirm to anyone that cannot source a Vermont XLP carpet that the Wolf lake 7 carpet fits perfectly OK, The only bit that is not exact is the small slits that go around the bedroom pod bottom toggles.
