Does anyone have any tips on the easiest way to pitch with 2 people

Thanks

We have 2 tunnel tents now, easiest way we have found is to put in poles, and then raise them all at same time and walk them out - think it's called concertina method.

If you check on Youtube for tunnel tents I'm sure you will find the pitching videos.

Agree with arsenaldes & karen37 use the 'Gary at Crossing Camping" method of erecting tunnel style tent. Usuing this methods has allowed me to put tents up on my own. Lots of benefits one being that the fly sheet will not blow away when erecting the tent.

And I too agree with the last few posts, and the methods shown in Gary's vids.

As a complete novice, I found both methods reassuringly easy.
For my 3 x pole Icarus 500, I stand the front pole up first, allowing the air to fill the tent.
For my Polycotton Filey 6 classic, the middle (of 5) poles goes up first, for a little more support and balance, I presume,as recommended by Gary, then the front to allow the air in.

Using these methods, I can assure you it is possible to erect on your own, as even I can do it, although if you can get help just to stand the first (middle) pole on the big heavy polycotton, all the better. But it can be done alone.

Karen,
Do you put the front pole up first, on your Filey, or have I just misunderstood your post?
I may try that next time, but for now, I was happy to follow Gary's tip to erect the middle pole first.

This is the way we do ours too, much easier than the concertina way. The guide above (By McGuire)is a very good one.

im liking the method used above ( by maguire ) too. this would be an easy way for a solo camper to put up a bigger tent.

Just pitched 2 tunnel tents (Outwell Indiana 8 & Gelert 6 + 2) this weekend using THIS method.
Must admit I have tried all the other methods, but this way seems miles better (especially in windy conditions)

If you have a heavy polycotton tent, we find the following video is a good method of pitching:
