hi all has anyone got a vermont p side extension we bought one it leaked just about everywere it had 3 holes in the roof the zips leaked water came in both sides it also pooled on the roof and to top it off the ground sheet was made wrong didnt think oneman could be so unluckly

we took it back to the shop who then contacted outwell,outwell say they can patch the holes and try to repair the rest of it we said NO if we want a new one they say we will have to wait until jan 2013 as this is when they will next have stock the shop say bacuse it was returned after 28 days we cant have a refund we took it back 41 days aftrer buying it but we only found the faults when we used it we took it back the same day we returned from our hols I think outwells service is very poor i wish we had kept the sunvalley 8 as we never had any bother with it

I am no expert but I think the "sale of goods act" allows a "reasonable" amount of time to return faulty goods not a stipulated 28 days and this is for a replacement or refund.Repaired holes would not be acceptable to me as they would always be visible I would want a replacement or a refund. Again as has been said many times your contract is with the retailer not Outwell

its hard to make the shop give you your money back short of taking them to the small claims court which is what i am now doing money claims on line .gov.uk wish i could take outwell to court for making it in the first place
