Hi, just got set up and attached our new front canopy to our Cabanon Guadeloupe. Just got a few issues that I need some help with. Firstly, the poles that have come with the canopy are approx 4 inches longer than the original door poles. This means it slopes upwards from the tent rather than away from it, is this right? I have tried placing the poles on an angle following the line of the canvas but this brings the mud walls too close to the ground. I have seen a pic of one online at the forest camping centre, and theirs shows poles at an angle, and they look adjustable in length. Mine are a fixed length. I bought mine from Caseys Outdoor and leisure btw. Has anyone modified theirs at all, such as add some more Velcro to the sides? Any help much appreciated. Andy

Yes, the poles on mine are longer but not so much as to make a vast difference - I angled mine and the mudwalls were OK.
The pic of the one at Forest Camping was a prototype and I remember reading somewhere that they used adjustable king poles but mine are fixed length - I bought mine from Forest Camping at the end of last season. Here's a pic of mine - not very well pitched though!
------------- Anne - mad mum to one - foster mum to many - adoptatent to you guys!
You'll love it Fiona - so quick & easy to pitch and amazingly spacious - the curtain gives you a defined sleeping area but when open, makes the whole interior look open plan and spacious. Loads more pics here if you want a nosey -
Thanks for the extra photos, Iv'e actually got a Noumea but looking at the face on photos the poles at the front look to be the same width with 2 plastic mats fitting in between them so hopeing the canopy will fit over the top of the poles ok, but it may be a bit wider when I peg it out but should still give me a lot more space to put my kitchen outside, iv'e got the hago kitchen as well!!!!
With the sun canopy roof sloping back towards the tent, and the tent roof sloping down to the front, where is all the water going when it rains? I would advise adjustable king poles for the tent and sun canopy allowing the water to run down the sides.
------------- It's better under canvas!

Thanks for the replies, I've had a mess about and angled the poles now. I've managed to set the mud walls without touching the ground, but it's not the simplest of things to make look right. It didn't even come with guy lines or pegs, but Caseys are getting some for me. Will take some pics and post when I'm home. Thanks again.
