Hi, We absolutely love our big, sturdy Royal Winnipeg 6 (polycotton, steel frame), though we did have problems with leaks at the front for a while. All sorted now with the help of Fabsil and now we're more experienced at pitching. I think we'd pulled the guylines a little too tight in the offending area. I'm confident it'll last us years...mind you it didn't see any action this summer as each time we were free to go camping, the weather put us off. I guess any tent will last and last, hibernating safely at home rather than working for its keep! Not sure how robust the polyester Royals are though. Those we saw on display when we bought ours looked a little flimsy.

Hi there,
We have a Royal Athens 6 and absolutely love it,can't fault it at all, size is perfect, pitching is easier than we imagined and it looks great.
We recently spent 2 weeks in Newquay and the weather was not playing fair,it rained heavily on a few nights and the tent never leaked,it was also very windy one day and the tent didn't budge, even our neighbours on both sides said they were impressed with how sturdy it was.
The only niggle we have is that it's rather on the large size when packed,we have no garage or shed,so storing indoors has caused a few headaches!!
Overall we give it a huge thumbs up,and would definitely recommend it.

we have the Royal Tampa 6 bought it offf ebay for £100 in May
did not get a change to trial pitch before our 2 weeks hols in France
we are impressed easy to pitch(no instructions with tent although had looked at them on internet a few months before our trip
had rain during night on a couple of nights and the ground sheet toggle door raiser get any water out.
.pack size could compress smaller than how it packs in bag(no compression straps, but we wil add our own, bag large so no problem putting it back in.our previous tent was an Outwell.
think the tent is great valueand will give years of service.

A large tent, but doesn't take over your pitch. Only downside is you cannot buy a canopy for it, which is a great shame, as you don't have an area to cook, but you can out up the front door.
Hi, we were looking at the Tokyo 6 at Tony Wild Camping at the weekend and really like the look of it but were put of by the lack of canopy/extention but talking to the guys they informed me that the Royal canopy will fit the Tokyo 6 on the side door in the same manner as the Hampton model. There is also a review on this site of the Tokyo 6 and the owner has also bought the extention and fitted it no problems so it might be worth checking with your local dealers
